There is a line in every day that decides what kind of day it is. The phone call you took early. The conversation in the kitchen before everybody else came down. The hour you spent at the desk before any email had arrived. On one side of the line, you are the person who began the day. On the other, you are the person who has to deal with what the day is now doing. The line moves. You move with it.
